SPEAKER, SPONSOR / TRADE STAND: ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF HEALTH AND SAFETY OBLIGATIONS

Health and Safety Acknowledgement

This agreement acts as an acknowledgement between Companion Animals New Zealand (CANZ) as the PCBU and any party engaged to participate in the Conference, including but not limited to speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, trade table holders, contractors, and other service providers. It also acknowledges the health and safety responsibilities of the Venue Host in providing the conference venue and facilities.

Each party will take all reasonably practicable steps to comply with its health and safety obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. Each party remains responsible for maintaining its own operational health and safety practices, procedures and controls relevant to the activities they undertake at the Conference.

All engaged parties acknowledge and understand their responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and agree to comply with all applicable health and safety requirements while participating in the Conference.

CANZ will provide relevant information regarding conference-specific health and safety requirements and will communicate any applicable procedures, hazards, controls, emergency processes, access requirements or other relevant information provided by the Venue Host.

The Venue Host will be responsible for communicating its venue-specific health and safety requirements, policies and procedures to CANZ, including emergency procedures, venue rules, hazard controls and any access or authorisation requirements relevant to activities being undertaken onsite.

All engaged parties agree to:

  • follow all reasonable health and safety directions provided by CANZ or the Venue Host;

  • take reasonable care of their own health and safety and ensure their actions do not adversely affect the health and safety of others;

  • advise CANZ or the Venue Host promptly of any hazards, incidents, injuries or near misses identified during the Conference; and

  • comply with any additional health and safety instructions relevant to their participation in the Conference.
